Health Services
Bangkok University maintains an infirmary for first-aid care. Medical attention for minor and intermediate cases is given by doctors and nurses at the University. The University provides a temporary recuperation room free of charge for sick students. When hospital attention is required, those needing medical attention are transferred to the nearby hospitals.
Infirmary Hours
1. The doctor is on duty on:
Monday – Saturday during 13:00 – 16:00 hrs.
2. The nurse is on duty on:
Monday – Saturday during 8:30 – 20:00 hrs.
Accident Insurance
The University takes a precaution for accidents occurring to students, so all students are advised to have an accident insurance with Muang Thai Insurance Company. The premium is only 190 baht a year. The students will be ensured 24 hours a day for on academic year. The maximum coverage for death is 100,000 baht and 25,000 baht for medical care per each accident.
In case of injury, students may file for reimbursement at the Student Affairs and Records Center by attaching the medical certificates and medical receipts together with the claim form. All processing must be done within 52 weeks after the incident.
In the case of death, the beneficiary may bring the following documents to the Educational Service and Student Welfare Office at either campus.
- Accident Claim Form
- Police Report
- Death Certificate
- Autopsy Report
- House Registrations and ID Cards of both Insured and Beneficiary
Health Insurance
Every foreign student must have valid health insurance. If student already has health insurance from his/her home country, submission of a photocopy of insurance card or other document verifying the health insurance status is required. Students may also subscribe to a health insurance policy offered by the University.
